A local petition (from the local authorities) informed yesterday that the Portuguese Commandant had been injured. When I, the great Minister, heard of this, it was extremely astonishing. On backing however at the reports of the Heangshan Civil and Military authorities and the assistant Magistrate of Macao, and at a Copy of a Proclamation issued by the Portuguese Senate, it would appear, as if these murderers were not respectable people of Macao, apprehended...
